Melissa Cole is a public access television producer and host, freelance writer, media professional, and beauty queen. A graduate of New York University, Melissa has channeled her studies in broadcast journalism, politics, and Italian into several freelance positions in media, most recently as a casting associate for the technology-driven version of the perennial MTV hit series Room Raiders 2.0, and as an intern in the casting department for VH1′s I Want to Work for Diddy 2.
Long Island born and bred, Melissa is well known locally for her bubbly interviews with elected officials and music artists for public access and web shows. She became immortalized at her alma mater after modeling in a print advertisement campaign for New York University Bookstores. A competitive beauty pageant contestant, Melissa placed second runner up in the Miss Long Island USA 2010 pageant and has represented her state as Miss Earth New York.
The perpetual intern, Melissa has spent many semesters behind the scenes at the Fox News Channel, HDNet, and on projects for PBS, MTV, VH1 and in radio, but she’s just been itching to get in front of the camera.
Today, Melissa produces and hosts the Do Something grant winning environmental and health awareness programĀ The Melissa Cole Show. Melissa’s show airs every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. ET on Manhattan Neighborhood Network and Tuesdays at 7 a.m. ET on Long Island Cablevision Channel 20.
